Texas Culinary Academy to Partner with Austin’s Newest Landmark
Austin, TX, September 29, 2006 — Texas Culinary Academy will prepare and serve dinner at the Chinatown Grand Opening private VIP dinner on Friday, September 29, 2006. The dinner will be served in a large elaborately designed outdoor environment in the center’s parking lot and will feature Asian-inspired cuisine from shark fin soup to Peking duck and more.
This is the first off-site catering event for the culinary school’s restaurant Ventana and will serve as part of the students Restaurant 401 practical experience. The culinary extravaganza will be under the direction of Chef Instructor Mike Erickson of TCA.
“We are pleased to be a part of showcasing Austin’s newest culinary destination and allowing our students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as part of a catering event of this caliber,” Erickson says.
