Austin Celebrates Chinese New Year's in Grand Style

Austin, Texas, January 23, 2008 – Austin’s Chinatown Center has set a Texas-sized standard for how Chinese New Year’s Celebration should be done! Austin’s first and only Chinatown Center will be kicking off The Year of the Rat with a diverse line up of international entertainment. The festivities begin on Saturday, February 9th at 11am and go into the evening, ending with an over-the-top fireworks display. The excitement continues on Sunday, February 10th at 11am with more live performances. All adults and children are invited to attend this FREE two-day event with family-fun entertainment including the kids’ area, dragon and lion dances, traditional Chinese Dances, martial arts performances and more! Don’t miss out on a celebration that embraces and educates on the wide range of Asian culture. All retail stores and restaurants in the center will be open, including the much anticipated Kim Son Restaurant. Chinatown Center is located at 10901 N.
