Following the success of their partnership in 2007, Tan International Group and Austin’s Chinatown Center was excited to again contribute to an event that provides unparalleled opportunities for networking and information gathering in a year that marks the 30th anniversary of China-US relations. The milestone banquet on Saturday evening, Discover Asia 2008, highlighted Asian culture and incorporated many of Austin’s own Asian community for an incredible evening. Mr. Sichan Siv, a Former Ambassador and the United States Representative to the Economics and Social Council of the United Nations, presented an inspirational speech on his experience and knowledge with Asian countries, particularly China.

With over 350 community and business representatives attending, the Austin Asian American Chamber of Commerce and Tan International Group pulled off another successful event for the Austin Asian community and Asian Texans alike.
